It’s not only the opposition party, even the ruling party has lost confidence in Goa police.

The BJP as well as the Congress have demanded CBI inquiry into the increasing incidents of desecration of religious shrines.

The Aam Aadmi Party however feels otherwise. They want police to probe these cases and CBI to probe corruption cases.

People across all religions have started becoming upset with the continuing desecrations of religious shrines.

And these feelings are getting echoed by the political parties. Including the BJP. This time deputy speaker Michael Lobo.

He is demanding  a CBI inquiry.

The Congress has already demanded CBI probe.

On Monday, newly appointed GPCC president Shantaram Naik along with office bearers of his party met DGP Muktesh Chander and expressed concern over rising incidents of desecration.

Goa Forward Minister Vijai Sardesai has condemned the acts of desecration of religious shrines.

He says some people are intentionally doing these acts to disrupt the communal harmony in the state.

But AAP is playing a little different tune. It has reposed its faith in the abilities of the local police.

AAP leader Venzy Viegas feels GPCC president Shantaram Naik should ask CBI to probe the EDC scam or the mining scam among others.
